While we were in Texas for Thanksgiving Cydney gave us a little scare. We had been at the zoo all day the day before Thanksgiving she hadn't been feeling good, infact her and Chase slept almost the entire time we were at the zoo. Poor things.

After we left the zoo we went to Costco and were trying to decide if we should buy Motrin or Tylenol and she had a seizure. Niether Rafael or I had ever seen one before. We were scared to death and ran to the pharmacy counter and asked them to call 911. By the time the ambulance got there Cydney was out. We really couldnt wake her. She was so worn out from the siezure. The EMT explained it like this "Imagine running a marathon with 104 degree fever, that is what her body feels like" I had no idea what to do. Cyd and I got to take a nice ambulance ride to the hospital. On the way there they tried to give her an IV which woke her up they tried to do it in her tiny little arm, and he couldnt find a vein. So she was screaming poor thing. Well we got there and thought that we should have Chase checked out too. So Rafael went with Chase and I went with Cyd. Found out it was just a febrile seizure and she would be fine, but it was all pretty scary. They told us they just had a virus and to treat the fevers strongly. There has only been a few other times in my life that I was that scared.

hey chels this is sallie! how are you? ooohhhh... poor little thing that just broke my heart! I had a neice that would have these every time she broke a fever...only for some odd reason she would stop breathing...seeing your child have those kind of episodes is truly scary!
oh my heck! that is so scary. i hope my kids never have a seizure. how awful. i'm glad to hear that it was just a one time thing, not an on-going problem.
That is sooooo scary!! I am glad that is was a temporary thing and that you had her looked at. Poor thing. We have missed seeing you lately-- we need to do a play date soon.
